Combined outcomes of all 66 public school RAP programs implemented since 1999 to date:

Objectives

1. 50% parents read to their children at least 3 times a week

2. 50% parents report watching less TV

3. 50% parents report increase in children's voluntary reading time

4. 50% parents increase their own reading time

5. 100% participating families build Family Reading Handbooks

6. 50% students report a more positive attitude toward school

7. 60% students increase their interest in reading

8. 20% teachers increase their classroom read aloud time
